Math IIC score

Do you guys honestly think that 730 would hurt me (all of the B's in my entire high school career are from math courses)?

I'm applying to the top-tier schools.

I think colleges know that the difference between a 730 and a 760 is one question- 2 at most. Do you really think that a school would reject you because of one or two math questions??

Colleges expect you to have strengths and weaknesses, not be a perfect robot equally strong in all areas. Your B's and your lowest SATs are in math. You aren't planning on majoring in math or applying to MIT , are you? Then don't worry, it's ok.

My D got into Yale with a similar score on the SAT I - didn't do as well on the II. There is SO much more that is of consequence in your application, especially at the top schools.

yea really depends on what you are applying to. if you are a literature major no one's going to expect your to be a math genius also. its the whole package that counts.

but for math guy like me, I'm sure MIT must reject me neglect my Math IIC was 800 (Math I 790) with verbal 440.

ASAP, I'm more math/science-oriented, and I only sent teacher recommendations from my physics, math, and chem teacher (11th grade teachers). Is it bad that I didn't send any recs. from an English/History teacher? I'm applying to some top schools like Penn, Johns Hopkins, etc. I got a B in both English and History last year (my only 2 B's on my transcript). These teachers were just unusually difficult (one was the teacher of the year for Pa and the other was just really tough--only one person got an A in that class). Help!
