so apparently, i have really smart friends who find it relatively easy to get an 800 on the math iic test. not the case for me. I'm only planning to take it in nov. because certain colleges require this test. i'm in calc ab right now. how much effort is needed to at least get in the 600ish range? any advice or input or anything really would be appreciated!

For a 600... my estimate is about that you need to miss at max. 20. It's very lenient. You don't need a ti-89. I didn't even use my calculator once and got a 750.. and the mistakes i made were idiot math mistakes.

Is the math IIC mostly, trig/precal stuff?

yeah it's pretty much pre-calc

Mid-600's should be very easy to achieve. I'm a bad math student myself and thought I would do horribly but I ended up with a 650 after a few hours of study with a scientific calc. I'm retaking in NOvemenber to get a 750+ but I have to study this time.
