Math IIC vs. SAT I Math

When I took the SAT Reasoning in May, I got a 750 on reading, an 800 on writing, and a 720 on math. Good scores, but I was slightly disappointed in the math, as it is below the middle 50% for most of the schools to which I'm applying (HYPSM types). I resolved myself to taking the SAT Reasoning again in the fall. However, I took the SAT II Math IIC in June and got an 800.

My question is the following: Will my good score on the SAT II Math compensate for my less-than-excellent SAT I math score, or would I be better off taking the SAT I again in the fall?

I don't know which one would be better, but I would think that an excellent score on the Math IIC would definitely mitigate your SAT I math score... at least it seems like it should.

I'm in a really similar position, I'd like to know as well. :-/
