Is it important or useful to have calculator programs for the Math IIC test? I have a ti-89 and so far it's worked well. I've been getting 43ish on Barron's and 49ish on PR's (with a 48 on the Real SAT II). Will Calculator programs help me? I'm taking it in two days, so if they really help a lot and I can't learn to use them quickly, is it a good idea to move to January???? I'm lost, so thank you in advance.

With an 89 you won't need any extra programs -- TI-89 has it all.

They might help. Check out www.ticalc.org

For what it's worth, my daughter used her TI-83 and got an 800 on the SAT IIC last month, so I don't think anything more powerful or advanced is necessary.

Extra help isn't necessary, but can be beneficial.

Yeah, i mean I'm sure stuff can help, but I didn't use a single program on my 83 in October and I got an 800

I didn't have any programs at all on my TI-86 when I took the IIC last June and got an 800.
