I'm in a dillemma and need a little insight. I know topics on Calculus aren't dealt with on the Math IIC but the Level 2 test is significantly harder than the Level 1. In the past, I took the Level 1 test without even taking Trigonometry and didn't do too well on it. Upon completing the Trig/PreCalc course, I looked over the PR study guide for the Level 1 test and found it EXTREMELY easy.

My question is is it advisable to take the Math IIC without taking Calculus, should I take the Math IC seeing as I know I can do much much better than I did last time or should I take both Math IC and Math IIC. Naturally, Math has always been a subject that comes easily to me and have proven this by earning "As" in every Math class I've ever taken. This is to say that I can get a decent score on the Math IIC if I study my a$$ off over the summer but I'd like to know if taking the test is easier for someone who has already taken Calculus.

Also, has anyone taken the Math IIC test without taking Calculus. If yes, how well did you do on it?

yeah, like i think a 33 out of 50 is a 700, or almost at least.
If you did pre calc ur all set.
At my school, if ur in regular pre calc than u might have trouble a little. If yr in honors pre calc (which i am) then it seems pretty easy

I took calculus this past year as a soph and i actually think it was a mistake for me not to take it after freshman year..i would actually advise you to take it right after precal since everything is fresh..i forgot alot of material.

The math teachers at my school all rec taking the Math IIC before taking calculus--if you've got a strong foundation on the precalc, you'll be fine. Learning the calc and then going back to take the test only complicates things.
