So next year I plan on applying ED to NYU (disregard my screen name) and I was wondering if a C+ in a math class is like an auto reject?

I've had a B or B+ in every year of math prior to this year (my junior year) and I'm in Pre-calc Honors and expecting my first C+. I'm not proud of it, but my teacher is worthless. I am also planning on dropping down to the regular class (which still gets honors credit at my school) so that I can get a better grade and learn more.

How will much will this hurt my chances?

Also, a little sidebar, I have A's and A+'s in every other class in the hardest course load at my school and I think I have pretty good EC's...

It's really hard to say. Every year NYU rejects some kids who look like shoo-in's, and every year NYU accepts some kids who seem massively underqualified. The best thing would be to apply, and see what happens.

Thanks...anyone else?

ED to what school? I'm sure it wont kill your chances or anything too major unless you're applying to stern then it will probably hurt your chances since the school is extremely competitive.

ED to CAS (Italian and French majors)

I know someone who got in with a C in AP calc. Admittedly, this is tougher than pre-calc, but it is not the end of the world. A systematic underperformance in every math class ever taken may be your bigger problem. Find a way to confront the issue head-on in your application, either in the counselor rec, supplemental recs, or essay.
