Bear in mind that the Lit test has the harshest curve out of all the SAT IIs. A lot of people opt to take it because they can’t think of any other subject they’re comfortable with, and that doesn’t usually end well.

For Lit, if you are an excellent English student in school, really enjoy the subject, read a lot outside of class, etc.–it’s awesome. You don’t need to study; you can just take it and do well.

If, however, English is not your strong suit and you are not a “natural” at it, I’d recommend trying a different subject.

You can’t really study for Lit–you’ve basically either got the aptitude for it or you don’t.

Math I is easier than Math II because the former covers fewer math topics. However, the Math I’s curve is very harsh. In contrast, Math II covers more topics and thus, requires more preparation; and has a more lenient curve.
If you are interested, I am taking both of them because I am strong math student. The best book to use is Princeton Review, which covers and goes through all topics and concepts.
Good Luck!
