I don’t think it can be x^2 because then you can never get a negative number. I believe it was x+5</p>

<p>@phlips look above - the question simply asked for the area of the triangle with sides 4 and 5 and an included angle of 50. Thus the area should be 1/2(4)(5)sin50</p>

<p>the question regarding the “onto” function defined it as Y having real values and therefore y can’t be real if x is imaginary when Y=X+5</p>
