i'm taking it and i'm pretty nervous...

to echo another poster, how difficult are the pr tests compared to the actual one?

Im using Barrons...... Its really hard can I trust it? Also, I hear there are matrices on math sat IIC but I dont see it in barron's book. Is there another book i should get?

I know what you mean...How are you preparing?

I'm taking it. I'm using Barron's as well.

NCguy, well... I am making sure I can use my TI-89 very well. I have a practice Math IIC test from the collegeboard, and it's not that hard...

I am hoping for a 700+ (being realistic). I doubt it'll be an 800. I am in the "calculus" mindset.

If it's as easy as people say it is here, then I might feel confident.

Some people here say it is really a "how to use your calculator test"

i thought the Maths IIC would be easy but after doing barrons, it's not...due to the time limit

im taking it in oct also... up till this weekend i thought it would be easy also... but after taking a barron's practice test and a couple of sparknotes tests (none of which i got 800s on), im starting to second guess the "easiness."

-_-

on the barron book, they don't actually give you a scaled score. It just says 41-50 excellent, 33-41 very good, and so on. So how do you know what your score is in terms of the SAT 200-800 scale?

Eh, screw it. Like an SAT II can get you knocked out of a college.

Prep like mad, then take the practice test in Real SAT Subject Tests (the OTHER blue book from CB). It's real, so... I'm guessing it's accurate.

listen, if you get a 750+2c, phy, and chem with good grades and good ECA, can u get say, princeton or yale? i'm worried about the 2c as i'm doing really badly on the pr tests (690 both, 31/50)

I did Barrons and it's really hard. I get about a 650 on each, but then I took the College Board test, the only sample one I have, and I got a 780. So yeah, Barrons is really hard, if you can get a 650 or up on their tests, you're in great shape.

do u need precal + cal to take this?

Same with me! I thought the real Math IIC test was pretty easy, I just made stupid mistakes (as in not reading the whole question lol). Barrons is, IMO, just ridiculously hard. I guess it has helped a bit, though.

bill_smear...what exactly is a 650 on the barrons? The scale given after each test in the Barron's book is simply Excellent, Above Average, etc. Thanks.

whered u get collegeboard test from

3 questions:
first i have taken practice tests out of the "sparknotes 5 extra tests" and got 700+s. is that accurate for the real test?

second, which is harder, PR or sparknotes.?

third, when i registered for nov. test online, did i have to send my scores to the schools i am applying to (uc's and cal states)?

anyone prepped SAT II match IIC using the sparknotes tests?
