Math Level II December 3, 2011 Curve/Discussion

i meant x=3 **

im in bc calc and we finished all of ab. the material isnt too much harder than math 2 but the time limit is so relaxed so the ap exam is must easier

I swear that this is the last time I ask this question:
Now my raw score i 38 (7blanks and 4 mistakes), I do not know how many questions we did not review, in your opinion (yes, stupid question is coming) will I get more than 700?

@imthealexx They said x = 3 was the line of symmetry and f(-1) = -1 and so what is f(7)?

u should at most get a 740

heres how to calculate your score

get the number you have correct, call it x

then do x - 1/4(amount of problems wrong)

lets call the answer to that y

y is called your raw score. Usually 43 and above is a 800, but it varies, the scale can be found online

wait…so the question that said x<0 and asked for the -|x| the answer was x or -x?

x, as the value was already negative…

“I think the line had to go through the origin and be parallel to a line with equation 2x-y=1.”

does anyone remember the exact question?

Also, can we get the volume of the box problem down? D;

I would also like to get confirmation on number 50. Was the letter choice D? thanks

The answer for the parallel line question was 2x-y=0 as it had the same slope and passed through the origin.

The volume of the box was 36m^3. m(3m)(12m).

^ i remember i got m cubed but forgot what i got for the coefficient. do you remember if there was only one m cubed answer choice?

can anyone confirm these answers from page 7?

i agree

2 times

I got 2

I got 4

the answer is one bottom of page 2 i think

is 19. it is the greatest int function where n = 300000

thanks

do u guys think a 43 raw will be an 800?

its likely, but not for sure

^Quite possibly. I figured it would be easier at first, but juding by the real answers and all the responses, this test was not indeed easier than normal in my estimation.

What are the coordinates of the point U of the function of f(x) = sin(x) + 1. It was π/2, 2 I think.

i got 2

How many years will it take for population to go over 6million. Everyone says four or three but I could have sworn it was 5 (option E). Maybe i made a stupid mistake.

i got 4

can anyone confirm?

I’m pretty sure I also got 4. There has to be at least a normal curve for this test… The questions seem easy but there is always some twist.

so far im thinking of not cancelling since i have a 43 raw. but if the curve is like a 44 or a 45 which it can be, my score will be just below a 800 but too high as to retake it and not look like an obsessed freak to colleges…even though i sound like one =P

…I was confident, but now not so much.
Omit 2, miss 4. :frowning:
43 raw score. Ugh. Dumb mistakes too, I thought the question said sinx >= cosx. :(

oh wait, I read 19 wrong i thought it was a different problem.

do you guys remember the one which it asked for like a period of the trig function? I got 2 for that one.
