Math Level II December 3, 2011 Curve/Discussion

there was one where u draw a triangle and do tan of some angle times 100.

Hiking: I guessed on that one… I still don’t understand it. I’m hoping for 770+ Answered all of them. Missed at least 7.

for the people just watching and not helping, can you please post at least 1? check the history of ur calc. ._. thanks

@hiking, im not too sure of ur solution. i had no idea how to do it though

I refreshed my calc every ten seconds on that test.

one question asked which equation has 3 distinct roots

it was something like: very rough

(x^2 + 4x + 4)(x-2)

Yea, I’m hoping for a moderate curve…

I can fill in details for two of the questions other people mentioned, but couldn’t really remember:

p(t)=(t/(t+10))^2 represents the proportion of the job finished after t days.
How many days to finish 75 percent of the job? answer: 65

Flagpole question: angle of elevation to top = 66 degrees from point 100 away from base of pole. answer: height of pole = 100 tan 66 = 22.46

I deleted the history of my calc :frowning:
I remember that there were a question about midpoints in two planes and a question about the flagpoint, but I do not remember the answers!
Do you think I can get more than 700 with 7 blanks and 6 mistakes? :(

p(t)=(t/(t+10))^2 represents the proportion of the job finished after t days.
How many days to finish 75 percent of the job? answer: 65

I agree!

there was one with the volume of a pyramid a box. I think i forgot to include the 1/3 for the volume of the pyramid! D; you had to get the volume of the pyramid in terms of the side of the box or something

@ andrearoma

730

I got (5, 0, 6) as the answer to the midpoint in 3D quesiton

^ i think i got the same one

there was one with the point

(3,2)

reflected around y = -x

i got (-3,-2)

There was a question with a made-up rule for "Box"n. Anyone remember it?

the answer was A n = 1

n(n+1)(n+2)

I thought it was a prism, not a pyramid… (square rectangular prism) Then it would be area of the base times the height. so you just x’ed everything together (you had to do 1 substitution)

^ a prism inscribed of a box? O.o

Damn you guys found it to be so easy whereas i found it to be a bit hard. =/

dw, my raw is 44 and thats without knowing 20 questions.

the curve is always decided before the test is taken by students.

I got (-3, -2), too

For the limit, I may have gotten 3.67. Does that sound familiar? Anyone remember the actual question (function, approaching what)?
