ur equation is not the same as it was on the sat

what was it

wizkid94
I got (-3, -2), but as you said, it’s wrong. It’s the answer to a 180 deg rotation around origin, which is not what the question asked.

Dawgy
I remember the equation as xy^5-2x=y+x^2. When you plug 0 in for y, you get -2x=x^2 or x(x+2)=0, which has two solutions, so graph crosses x-axis twice: at (0,0) and (-2,0).

what was the answer to the marbles one? 1/27? or 1/6? it was 1/6 wasn’t it…

were any of the last three questions answer c?

i got 1/6

would you guys recommend i cancel if im aiming for a 800 and so far, based off of this thread, i have a raw score of 43? O.o

2nd time taking it too…

omg if everything is correct i missed 5 skip 2

i mean miss 4 skip 2

1/6 = 1/31/21/1 because without replacement
(1/27 = 1/31/31/3 would have been the answer in the marbles had been replaced each time)

^not all the answers have been posted yet.

were there were there i didnt have time for the last 3 and guessed with c because i forgot we could omit in panic

this is also my 2nd time taking it. got a 760 last time…should i cancel…?

for the second to last question with the ellipse, b under y^2 was 3/16 I think. Someone confirm please

b equaled 4/sqareroot3

It was 3Y2/16 or y^2/16/3 so it was 4/square root of 3

If you have to have an 800, then yes, cancel, if not, then no… I highly doubt you will get an 800 with a 43 without even going over all of the questions.

How about the Law of Cosines question? 78 degrees? That was a guess, though.

I’m kinda annoyed about how much time I’ve spent working on improving my knowledge on vectors, matrices, geometric sequences, and other less common topics/topics my trigonometry class didn’t cover, during these last few weeks, yet the test had very little if any of these. I’m just hoping for a 700+, Math is currently my worst subject(although I’ve begun improving on my skills) and it shows in my test scores and grades.

Any chance a raw score of around 30-35 will get me a 700 or more? It seems almost borderline.

aww man, I was stuck between the two and chose the wrong one -__-

damit…if i found out i got one more wrong, assuming the curve is 43 for an 800, then im screwed… does anyone take the math sat 2 3 times? haha… i suck ._.
