Math Major at Duke University + pre-medical requirements

<p>I like medicine and economics but I am not dead-set on doing either. So I thought that I would want to major in mathematics because it would stand out for med school admissions and would also be good for graduate economics or something like that. Also, I like math.</p>

<p>But how doable would this be? How hard is a math major at Duke? I feel like math major + pre-med = GPA killer.</p>

<p>I'm one of the best at math in my school, but I am by no means a math genius. I also hear that college math is nothing like high school math.</p>

<p>I went to Duke for a MUN conference and my chairn was majoring in economic, but was also Pre-Med. I asked him about it and he said it’s challenging, but at the same time, he can handle it. I say do it you want too. My chair really likes it and he said his grades were fine.</p>
