I have the option of these two combinations at this point. So here are the details... I'm listing only the relevant classes that will be different between the majors, leaving out GER's etc. etc. I plan on going to med school so my major doesn't matter AS much, but I would like something that gives me a fallback. Thoughts on which course plan is better?

~ Mathematical and Computational Science major (like an applied math / statistics major) ~
JUNIOR YEAR
(Math) Integral Calculus of Several Variables
(Stats) Theory of Probability

(Math) Applied Group Theory
(Stats) Intro. to Statistical Inference

(Math) ODE's with Linear Algebra
(Stats) Intro. to Regression Models and Analysis of Variance

SENIOR YEAR
(Math) Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory
(Management Science) Linear and Nonlinear Optimization
(CS) Design and Analysis of Algorithms

(Math) any math class Intro. to Stochastic Modeling

(Math) any math class Stochastic Modeling

~ Math major, CS minor (also offers applied classes) ~
JUNIOR YEAR
(Math) Integral Calculus of Several Variables
(Math) Functions of Real Variables / [any math class]

(Math) ODE's with Linear Algebra
(Math) Functions of a Complex Variable / [any math class]

(Math) Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory / any math class Modern Algebra / any math class Design and Analysis of Algorithms

SENIOR YEAR
(Math) Fundamental Concepts of Analysis / any math class Partial Differential Equations / [any math class]

(Math) Applied Group Theory / any math class Lebesgue Integral & Fourier Analysis [any math class]

Optional: last quarter with some more classes.
Applied Matrix Theory
Functions of a Complex Variable
Intro. to Combinatorics and Applications
Applied Number Theory and Field Theory
etc.
Note: any of these classes and other classes I haven't listed can be used in place of the [any math class]'s. For the math major at my school, the requirements are very loose and you can choose from any math class for a significant portion of the units.

So which major would you do, math + CS minor or Mathematical and Computational Science major?
