Math Major

I was recently admitted to UCLA for the Fall Quarter 2011. My initial major was history, but I would like to change to math. I was informed that in order to switch to math I need to pass Math 115A with a C or better, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and complete 12 units of math to be considerd for the major. I just recently completed differential equations and a lower division linear algebra course. My main concern is that I have gotten straight "B"s in all of my math courses. I was unsure of a major while attending CC and just wanted to try a few thing out, hence applying as a history major, but over the summer I new I wanted to do math. As I was unsure of the math major for the past two years, I did not give my all to the coursework, but my interest in the subject has grown significantly. I am also a math tutor at my CC. I know for a fact that I am 100% committed to this major now and will put utmost effort into the coursework.....I have been reading my old math books to freshen up on what I should have paid more attention to, and I will attack 115A like no other! I would like to hear from math majors about the degree of "rigorousness" of the coursework for the math major at UCLA. Please be honest. I know I have a long way to go. Thanks in advance.
