I female who has a strong interest as of now in becoming a math major. I know that this can help in admissions to certain schools if they can back up the fact that this is true using EC's, grades, etc. I will say that my math grades are in the A/A+ range but my school doesn't offer the AMC, have any math clubs, or anything else like that. How can I display my passion for math so it doesn't look like I'm trying to simply get a boost in admissions?

a female math major is rare…you already got your boost.

no math club…then start one!
even if your school doesn’t offer the math contests, you can still join them. do some research, googling, etc! talk to your math teacher if you want to give some math contests a try–i’m sure your math teachers are passionate enough about math to be willing to promote their subject in other ways.

after that, i think that you should also do some other activities. mathematicians need to have an open mind and talent in solving problems. you don’t necessarily have to be computing numbers to “exploit” (for lack of a better word) your open mind and problem solving skills.

USAMTS is one math competition where one doesn’t need to be sponsored by a school…

If you like this kind of proof-based math, then a math major may suit you well. If not, there are plenty of other math-related majors (actuarial science, applied math, finance, accounting, computer science) that also require a high level of numeracy.
