So right now, as an incoming freshman (pre-med/MCB), I'm signed up for both Math 1A and German R5A at the same time. I'm having a hard time deciding which class would be more important to take right now this first semester. Should I be concentrating on the major requirement: Math 1A? Or focusing on the R&C/1 yr of english for med school requirement: German R5A?

Current Schedule:
Chem 1A
French 3
Classics 24
Math 1A or German R5A

Help? Thanks!

you can always try a light schedule with 4 classes this semester and, if you feel confident and ready to tackle a heavier load, get a schedule with 5 classes for spring. don't worry, though.

The way I see it, both are their pros and cons. German is good because R&C classes are typically harder to get into than math. Than again, having 3 humanities might not be so fun. It's a hard decision but I would probably go with math. Most people want to get it out of the way, and you still have a lot of science classes to go, so overloading on those later on is not fun.
