<p>Yes, there are plenty of research opportunities for talented students.</p>
<p>The intro classes can be pretty big (Phys I, II, III, IV). A whole lot of majors kind of converge on those classes so you can get close to 100 people in them, but after that it narrows down significantly and there are usually something like 20-30 kids.</p>
