So I recently enrolled into IUB (still a high school senior) and it says that I need to take a Math Placement Exam unless I have Math M-118 and Math M-119 OR Math 119 and Math M-211. I’m not sure if I qualify for Math M-118 or Math M-119.
I checked the AP Score transfer page but it doesn’t specify anything about the two classes. I’m taking AP Calculus BC and am planning to get a 4 or 5. Can anyone help me out?
If you get a 4 or 5 AB subscore on the test, you will have credit for M211.

That said, the math placement test doesn’t take that long and won’t be hard for you, so it might be easier to just take it just in case you don’t get the score you think.
@iubaccounting do you know if you can take the placement test while still waiting for the AP score? if you pass one and don’t get a high enough score on the other will you still receive credit?
@adamint Yes, you can still take it while waiting for the AP score. The math placement test doesn’t give you any credits, it only helps determine the appropriate math class for you to enroll in at IU.
ah, I meant the calc exam during NSO
@adamint I have no idea what that is. Either they didn’t have it when I went through orientation, or I didn’t have to take it because I took an ACP version of M119 in high school.
