Do I still need to take the placement test if I got a 5 on the AP Calc BC? Would I be able to get into Calc III?

yes you can get in but it’s highly recommended you take it cause if you get like 15/30 because it’s been a year or two since you took BC, it might be smarter to take Calc II again. Up to you though, lol.

Taking Calc II instead of Calc III would be my recommendation unless you are becoming a math major and want to get more classes out of the way. It eases you into math classes at washu and makes your first semester a little easier

With a 5 on the AP, take Calc III.

I’d strongly advise against what Greg says, if only because Shapiro is teaching calc 2 again this fall.
And Shapiro is absolutely terrible.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will take the placement exam when I get the chance, just in case.
