Math placement exam

How do I know if I'm required to take it? I'm a Politics major, and I've already taken statistics prior to transferring in this coming winter.

IF you have taking a AP Math course, such as AP Stats, Ap Calc (AB or BC) and passed the ap with atleast a 3, you do not have to take the Math exam.

However even if you do not have such score, your not require to take the exam if you are not taking a math course. I’m not such what a politics major requires but it wouldn’t seem to me that you would require one.

hope this helps

That does help, thanks. I think the highest math I need is statistics, so I should be fine. Would you happen to know if there’s a spot on the website that would tell me? I’ll try assist.org too, and if neither of those work, I can always ask my advisor I guess, though I’m not sure when I’ll be assigned one. I just don’t want to have to be forced to take it at orientation, if I do need a math class, and I don’t plan on taking one during my first quarter. And I won’t take any if I don’t need to. Anyway, thanks for the info! :)
