Math placement test and AP credits

I was wondering whether or not I have to take the math placement test. I took the AP AB exam this year and I’m pretty confident that I scored a 4 or 5 (which gives 4 credits for Math 0220). My score won’t be out until July however, so do I still have to take the test?

@artislien1 , call your advisor. My D had to call hers because of an anticipated 4 or 5 in AP Psych. Similar situation, just a different subject. But I do think you still have to take it if it’s a requirement before you can register. For Arts and Sciences, it was a requirement.

Also, the calc placement test is pre calc!! My D had pre calc 2 years ago! So she scored a 71% the first time she took it. She did the review module (minimum of 5 hrs. before you can take the placement test again), and scored a 95%. She just needed the review. You can take the placement test up to 3 times.

Good luck!

@artistlien1 If you’re in Swanson College of Engineering, you must take the ALEKS test for math. If you’re not in Swanson, then:
