I was wondering if anyone knows what the college level math placement test is like? The sample questions linked to the Collegeboard Accuplacer test so does that mean that's the test they give? I want to test into Stats/Probability so I can get my math GE out of the way.

Also.. is there any way to study for this? Cuz I really don't want to have to take 20 math classes just to get into a UC-Transferable course...

The college level test was tough for me when I took it two years ago because the highest math I took in high school was algebra 2 with trig. There was some calc on there and I had no idea what to do back then so beware if you aren't good with calc. If you're good with math take the college level, if not just take the regular one. I know people that did well enough on the regular test and bypassed all the prereqs and went straight into stats.

Hmm well on their site it says it tests intermediate Algebra and Trignometry -- for College Level Math. I took Alg. 2/Trig but my teacher wasn't really great so I don't know much. I started Precal but it was too tough so I ended up dropping it since I didn't learn much from Alg. 2/Trig.

only do the Calculus test. My recommendation ^_^. The so call college level test is supper easy for baby :D J/K
the reason I said doing the Calculus test is in the worst case you can still get in Math 49A. (if you want, you can switch back to lower level though, but it's not the other way around if you take the algebra test.

Does anybody remember what types of problems were on there? I'm taking it soon. The sample problems suck; there are like three of them on the site...

reudh, look on the deanza website, under the placement tests, it has some sample problems and also what things they will cover, u dont need to kno any calc, because it is a calculus readiness test,so just go over basic precalc stuff like graphing functions and vectors

the sample questions on the de anza website aren’t accurate at all.
a HUGEEE part of the test is precalc
lots of unit circle and trig stuff, etc
its not hard, but just stuff that’s easy to forget.

u know when u take placement test in first time u can choose what level u want take
Actually i choice college level math level in the first time, but i got **** result, and i want take in caculs level in the second time.
can i choose to take cal level too?
