When we take the math placement test at orientation, are we allowed to use a graphing calculator, just a scientific calculator, or none at all? Also, is there a time limit?

I think there is a time limit, and I’m pretty sure you can use a calculator (I forget which. for sure you can use scientific, but I feel you can also use graphing) but pretty much if you’ve done well on the math section of the SAT/ACT or the AP Calc exam (got a 3 or 4 on AB or a 3 on BC), you’ll be more than prepared. That test is pretty easy. They test you mostly on pre-calc/trig things, and some bits of algebra. Just look over a high school math book before orientation if you want to be extra prepared. I remember I forgot to bring a calculator, but I still did really well.

You can bring a graphing or scientific; it doesn’t matter. There is a time limit, but it’s not like you’ll be rushed like the SAT. Like hoamai said, it’s pre-calc/trig.

Thanks! I actually took it already, and passed!!! But thanks for all your help!
