Math placement test

I know this isn't an SAT or a AP test question, but this is the only place I saw that I thought I could put this.

Basically I didn't go straight into college after high school-it's been eight years and I'm just getting into higher education. I was accepted by New York University Polytechnic Institute, but they want me to take a math placement test. I was always fairly strong in math-I took the SAT again a few months ago, and scored a 700 in the math with a little bit of review on my part. Does anyone have a good site to go to, or any recommendations on what to study, for a math placement test for college?

Before you can find out what to study, you have to find out what the college actually tests on since it can differ from college to college; just call and ask, they may even have sample tests. If NYU Poly is using the Aleks test you can go to aleks.com and gather a lot of information on it. If not, you should likely assume that it tests at least through pre-claculus and possibly even test partly on calculus. Just always remember that a placement test is designed to determine the course level you should begin at in college and has nothing to do with your acceptance. You don’t pass or fail the exam, you just learn where you should begin.
