So what type of Math is on the placement test during orientation? Pre Cal or Calculus AB stuff? Also, what happens if we do horrible on the placement test/do not pass the test? Do we get placed in a lower class below Math 31A?

... i don't think you should worry about it... unless you didn't take pre cal in highschool you should pass easily, no calc stuff, not even limits or simple derivatives

yes! good..

if you do terribly, you take math 1 which is precalc. asdsadjaslkdnkas

Jee but I took Pre Cal my junior year, I practically forgot everything I learned!

If you're worried about the math placement test, switch to the English major! :D

up to trig

piece of cake, i remember when i took it, i was hungover from the night before, yes, drunk during orientation, in my OC's room too, i passed with flying colors.

It is SUPER easy. I just took the exam at orientation 101. There is some pre-calc, geometry, algebra. I don't remember any calculus. There are 60 questions and you need to get 36+ right to be in math 31a (which is calculus based). If not, you're placed in math 1, which is pre-calc.

i have yet to meet anyone that didn't get 36+ on that test... but yes if you don't pass it switch to english major because you won't do good in math lmao... jack which orientation did you go to last year?

gosh, i hope it's as easy as everyone says.

your OC allowed alcohol?
