How much trigonometry is on the placement test and how hard would it be to get a 80% on it?

I remember how much is trig, but the trig is pretty difficult. The tests expects you to use their online calculator (I wouldn’t expect most people not to), and it is AWEFUL. The trig questions are reasonably hard, and their are a couple of graphing questions which are nearly IMPOSSIBLE with the ALEKS graphing tool. I wouldn’t worry about you’re score on a specific section, though. They are for your personal use, to identify your weaknesses. Aim for the percentage you need to get into a specific Calculus course. A score of 50% is needed for MAC 2233 (Survey of Calc 1 - typically for business majors, problems are economically oriented), and 75% is needed for MAC 2311 (Analytic Geometry & Calc 1 - typical college calc required for pre-meds, engineers, math/science majors). Good luck on the test, and remember that you can take it as many times as you want (but it costs 10% each time). I suck at trig, but still pulled a 78% using only pencil, paper, & the ALEKS calculator in 1 try.

What do you mean it cost 10% each time?

Oh, I’m sorry, I made a few errors. What I meant was: “I DON’T remember how much is trig” and “it costs $10 each time.”
