Math Placement

Hi, I just recently took the math placement. Can I retake the test even if it’s after my orientation date, (as I feel I can get a better score and I need to take chemistry first semester to satisfy premed prerequisites, that’s what I want at least). Or if I get my schedule done, can I “fight” the score and get an exception for it. A friend of mine took the test and the score on screen said she got a two but then when she did her schedule, it said she got a three. I feel I definitely do not need to take classes to go over high school concepts. I know I scored low (I was also sick on the day of my exam but had to take it regardless because orientation is in a few days) but I feel I can place higher for sure. Is there any way I can get around the score I have now, without retaking?

Have you called Stony Brook to ask? It seems to me that they would be the best people to answer your question.
