what is the highest you can place into with the math placement test?

I believe its 118/125 although if you have AP Calculus scores then it doesn’t matter.

how hard is the Math Placement test. I took Calc BC last year (junior year). and its pretty much gone out the brain now, as is Stats, and Bio, and etc. lol

The math placement test doesn’t really have calculus on it. I felt it was pretty basic and I took AP Calc AB this past year.

yeah same as Sarararah i took ap calc ab this past year. i felt rusty not having done math for a month though ha so i can’t imagine a year. it’s not difficult though you just have to be focused. i took the full hour and got a 37/40. it’s basic math up to pre-calc i think.

S has a 5 on Calc AB from junior year, so he was pretty sure he didn’t need to take the placement test but did anyway. He scored something pretty mediocre (don’t remember exactly, but made us both say “yikes!”) The report still said 118 or 125. I think the threshold is pretty low on this, looking for students who need to master basic math skills.

Okay, judging from these responses and my experience, the highest recommendation is Math 118/125. I am also certain you can get into higher math classes easily and is the plan at Orientation.
I think the test is just to make sure you know the basics and can handle calculus in general.
