Math Placement?!?!?!

Hey guys, I am going to orientation tomorrow, what day is the Math Placement on? The second day?

Also, I am business econ major, how bad would it look if i had to take Math 1? I took the practice placement test, and my score is terrible. Any advice or tips for the test?

Much thanks

whos exempt from the math placement test?

i have orientation in a few weeks, can you let us know how it went?

are you sure your orientation starts tomorrow? what session are you?

Since you are going to orientation tomorrow… I am guessing you are doing that early check in thing, right?
Well the math placement is on the first day… which is the second day if you go a day early… The test is easy… I haven’t done math in forever and did extremely well amazingly…
HINT: if you did the math placement test on the site… It’s SIMILAR to that test… PLUS you can use a calculator… I only used my calculator cause I was lazy to do mental math…
Dunno how bad it’ll look if you will take Math 1, but it can’t be that bad… you’ll just be like one class behind…
btw, trust me… practice that online exam… and just review basic trig… (but i wouldn’t even call the test “trig” worthy… more like alg 2 lol)

use search bar btw

Exempt… look at the UCLA site… but if you took a community college class that is equal to math31a or w/e… or took AP calc ab test (getting a 5) or bc (getting a 4 or 5) but there are all these other stuff you can do with the score… just ask your OC

ohh, early arrival. Lol you scared me, I have 104 and was like ***?!?!

The online exam isn’t up anymore, someone should probably contact the math department…

I am told it’s SAT level math though, perhaps even lower, so use one of those books as review.

i contacted the math dept and they e-mailed back saying they’ll get a new one up soon. BUT I HAVE 104 TOO SO GREAT. i don’t think it’ll be up in time. So, I tried doing the math test from Univ of Washington Seattle…

can someone who has taken the test (online or real) see if its basically the same kind of questions/topics.

THANKS! =]]

i’m 104 too. damn.
