I'm interesting in applying to UC's this fall, namely Berkeley and Davis, but am concerned about the math prerequisite. I haven't taken a math class yet and was hoping to take Statistics (required for my major) in the spring, though I'm now wondering if that will be too late. I did a search and was met with conflicting opinions, with some people saying it was ok to complete it in the spring, while others saying it was looked down upon, so I'm a bit unsure. At this point though, is there anything that I can do?

It’s fine to take it in the spring. However, the UC’s will not be able to see the grade you get it in. This puts you at a really small disadvantage but it shouldn’t make or break your application.

you should be fine. I took my English pre-req my spring semester and I remember stressing out that I wouldn’t get in after reading some of the posts on here but I got into Berkeley and Ucla :)
