Math problem in the grid-in

<p>In my grid-in section, I ran across a problem I had no clue what to do.</p>

<p>It was something like f(n+3)=3f(n)</p>

<p>And the chart had some values:</p>

<p>n f(n)
1 2
2 4
3 8
4 6</p>

<p>And then I had to find what f(10) was based on that question.</p>

<p>I couldn't figure it out. Did anyone else get this question and managed to figure it out?</p>

<p>it was 54. ( i think)</p>

<p>f(n+3)=3f(n)
n f(n)
1 2
2 4
3 8
4 6</p>

<p>so F(7)= 3f(4)
F(7)=18</p>

<p>then f(10) = 3f(7)
F(10)=18*3=54</p>
