Math problem

Can anyone help me out with this math problem? I keep getting stuck.
3 to the x + 3 to the -x =10/3 ( sorry my keyboard isnt working correctly so I can´t really write it up as it should be).

anyone? I really ned the help, my test is in like two days, I'm freaking out that I can't solve such a simple looking problem)

i can't really tell what you mean...i know you mean exponents, but...

you should try logs. sorry i can't help much!

are u saying..... 3^((x+3)^-x)=10/3 ?

that i have no idea of. :p

its supposed to be ( got this damn keyboard to work):
(3^x)+(3^-x)=10/3 thanx

um...i used log and i keep getting no solution....which is weird....you know, when you log everything, you carry the exponents to the front, and it cancels it self out...eh i hate math

I graphed it and got

x1=-1 and x2=1

but to use logs wouldn't I have to simplify the whole thing to get it to just one component to the x, then I would be able to use the log right? Thats my problem, I keep getting stuck trying to simplify it (I missed the class on logs so I'm basically trying to work my way through the lesson right now)

I see scarlet, but how can I work it out without graphing it?

as far as i know, you can log the whole thing...the 1st term and the second term....well don't trust me on this, please...

I'd have to check up on my logs and lns, its been awhile. But if you're allowed a GDC it would be easier to do it on one, less chance of messing up.

ok, danke schön ( lol, I'm learning german. I should actually be studying right now I have a test in like 2 hours)

Haha, kein problem. viel glück!

whoo you german-speaking people....isn't it hard?

not so much. (stupid 60 second rule)

sometimes I have a hard time with the gender of objects etc. ( der kopf, der kopf, goddammit I need to find some logic in this to be able to remember it) But I definitely think its way harder than learning english ( my native language is spanish).

Gender and the cases can be quite confusing. But be glad there are only three. A good friend of mine is Polish and they have 7.

Yeah, my german teacher always brings up (whenever I complain about genders and cases) how the finnish have like 17 ( I'm making up the number, I dont remember exactly, but I do remeber it was a huge number)

There are a lot of languages that are terrible like that. I guess ones where you need to be a native speaker to understand. I couldn't imagine 7 or more cases.
