need help with this second edition bb math problem. it seems fairly easy but i don't seem to grasp this easily

-Rectangle ABCD lies in the xy-coordinate plane so that its dies are NOT parallel to the axes. What is the product of all four sides of rectangle ABCD?

A) -2
B) -1
C) 0
D) 1
E) 2

the answer is 1 (D)

It’s a sneaky question. You have to remember that the adjacent sides of the rectangle are perpendicular. Since slopes of perpendicular lines are negative reciprocals, when you multiply them, you get -1. Since you are multiplying all 4 slopes, first pair them up, two adjacent sides at a time. You get two -1’s as the products. Then when you multiply the -1’s, you get the final answer of 1.
