Math programs in NYC?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any math programs- maybe on weekends- or any similar opportunities in the NYC area. It could be on weekends, as long as it is during the school year.

P.s- I am female, if that helps.

Thanks!

Try asking your math teacher or math department head first. Some major universities, like maybe Columbia, may have gifted programs for high school students (in Phila. it's Penn.), contact that director and ask for suggestions. These programs are during the summer usually but the director may have other ideas. They are in the know! You can push it by also contacting the gifted education office of your school district or state dept. of education and demanding info. on available programs or that they help you. In our district the gifted office has a responsibility to help. They try to get out of this by having parents sign a paper before or after the school year saying you agree your gifted child's educational needs have been met, but I've been told this paper doesn't mean a thing. We did advanced summer programs in a different school district, which we paid the equvalent of a private school course fee. In some school districts students can take a required math course in the summer, advanced, not a make up. It doesn't count in our district if you do this, but doing so was a great help to my son.Great help.

Try posting on artofproblemsolving.com. You'll need to register (free), but there are many posters from NYC there who could give you info.

I second Marite's suggestion of art of problem solving.
Here's a link to a list of math/science summer camps that might also give you some leads:
