<p>In the question above, the correct answer is (A)</p>

<p>But what if, a = 99 and b = -1? Distance between them = 99 - (-1) + 1 = 101</p>

<p>and |a - b| = |99 - (-1)| = |100| = 100</p>

<p>but 100 > 100.</p>

<p>Please explain, thanks in advance :)</p>

<p>The distance between them has to be greater than 100 not equal to it as you picked -1 and 99 which are exactly 100 apart not greater than.</p>
