What math comes after BC calc? Is it MVC?

Generally it's Multivariable. After that, it's "generally" Diff Eq, Complex Analysis, or Number Theory.

What about linear algebra?

Yeah, you could also take linear algebra.

Note also though, anyone can really take Number Theory.

i tried multivar calc without lin alg... worst idea ever... i understood nothing from the 2nd half of that class...

make sure you buff up on lin alg BEFORE MVC, that is my advice.

what kinds of topics does lin. algebra cover?

bump, any other advice from someone who took MVC right after BC calc?

I'm taking it right now...it's not that bad...next is differential equations/linear algebra (can take either next semester or both here at Cornell).

I'm taking multivariable calc. It's not hard but the concepts are tough. I like it more than BC because it requires more thought and less formulas...kind of. I'm also taking linear algebra; I think it's ok as a co-requisite, but mvc should really be a prerequisite...
