Math Question

<a href="http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac196/resiranger/Picture16.png%5B/url%5D">http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac196/resiranger/Picture16.png</a></p>

How would you do this?

is the answer 9.5?

I believe the answer is 8.5.

The vertical line of symmetry for the graph is located at x = 3.5. This can be found by finding the midpoint of the points (0,10) and (7,10).

Points (-1.5,0) and (t,0) must be at a same distance from (3.5,0). The distance is 5.
5 + 3.5 = 8.5.

8.5, actually

my bad i added wrong 7+1.5 does = 8.5 not 9.5. What I did was find the distance between -1.5 and the y int which is 1.5. Then the distance from (7,10) to the x int is just 7+1.5 = 8.5. Stupid but worked.
