If x^2=x+6, which of the following must be true?
a) x=6
b) x<3

Answer is E.
I’ve managed to narrow it down to E and B, but I don’t understand why B can’t be an answer.

Well if you plug 3 in, it works perfectly so it definitely cannot be B.
X^2=X+6 => X^2-X=6>0 => X^2>X => E.
