go to this link. Well if it doesn't work the problem shows me a polygon and tells me to fins the value of z. They have A, B, C, D, x, y but no where in the figure do they show z. So I thought "oh their trying to trick ppl" so I said E. Cant be determined.

But the answer said I have it wrong. I just dont get it. From what I had I could have found x, y which were two angles in the triangle. The unlabeled angle was apprantly z. I knew that I could get the unlabeled angle, but it didn't even say it was z. It could've been a, f, q, r for that matter.

Can someone explain this to me?

you need to post a diagram… I have no idea what you’re talking about.

http://www.scientific-web.com/en/Mathematics/Geometry/images/Quadrilateral2.png

the figure is the “quadrilateral”

The sides are labeled A,B,E,D the center is labeled C. Two angles on the same triangle are labeled x and y. It tells me to find the value of ‘z’ when x=75 and y = 40. The answer comes out to be 65, which assumes that the unlabeled angle is z. Thats what I thought at first but the angle was unlabeled and therefore just can’t be ‘z’… so i said E. no answer

Still need the diagram of that problem…

well then at least can u answer this? ‘z’ was not labeled anywhere in the figure. and if they ask for ‘z’ do you have to assume that z is the unlabeled angle between x and y?
