Math questions help! (distance/rate)

Hi I need help with some distance/rate problems and a mixture one.

1)A salesman drove from Ajax to Barrington, a distance of 120 mi, at a steady speed. He then increased his speed by 10 mi/h to drive the 150 miles from Barrington to Collins. If the second leg of his trip took 6 minutes more time than the first leg, how fast was he driving between Ajax and Barrington.

2) What quantity of a 60% acid solution must be mixed with a 30% solution to produce 300 mL of a 50% solution.

I really need help more so on the steps to solve each problem, not the answers as I already have them.

Thanks
