Math Related Summer Program or Classes Over Summer?

I am currently a high school junior and I haven't done any academically related summer programs before. I have not really done a lot of research yet on possible programs, but I am wondering what the best option is.

One option I want to consider is taking a class or two over the summer at the local community college or maybe university. I want to take a math class because I am taking Calc BC this year and so, I don't want to have a year and a half hiatus from higher level math classes and because I simply like math :). I don't know if this is something specific to the college, but would I probably need to have my AP scores before I would be accepted to take math classes requiring Calc 2 as a prerequisite (which is obviously impossible)?

I will probably do research on this myself, but are there any prestigious and also useful summer programs for math/sciences? I would probably want to do something where I could get college credit for it, but I am not exactly sure what is out there.

I would most likely prefer the former option, so if anyone has taken or is planning to take classes like this over the summer, it would be great to hear from you!

You should check out the SMaRT program at Texas A&M, Ross program at OSU or PROMYS at Boston university!
