If I get a 4 or 5 on the calc BC exam, I know I can get 8 credits - equivalent of two math classes. Now, does that eliminate the math requirement, or it doesn't count? The orientation site says you can't apply ap credits to distribution for CAS, but before I was under the impression you could...

There’s no math requirement. There’s a quantitative subject requirement, which includes math, which you will need to take actual Cornell classes to fulfill, if you’re in CAS.

However, you do get credit for calc, but that just means you can now take Linear Algebra, and other classes that required calculus, if you wish.

so I still have to fill that subject requirement…crap, I thought the calc could do that. So pretty much it was pointless haha (my major is not going to be math related and i despise math)

What exactly is the pre-req for linear algebra? Calc 112 or 122? or either?
