Math Requirement for University of Florida?

Okay, so I’m a total idiot, and when I applied to UF, I completely forgot to mention that I took algebra a year early (in the eighth grade). In high school, I took three math classes, but with the fourth, I meet their four-year requirement.

The problem is, I’ve just notified them and I think I’m a bit too late.

How much will not having that extra math class be a detriment to me getting in? Basically, how strict are they about that requirement? I’ve fulfilled all the other ones, and even gone overboard on a few of them, haha.

Oh, and I’m in-state but in a school outside the US (it’s complicated), if that helps.

It is a requirement ( 4 years of math). It’s should have been included (the Algebra 1) in your SAR (the SAR can include some 8th grade classes). Hopefully you informed them in time. If not, you may have a case to appeal if you’re denied.

Good Luck!
