Math requirements for transfer

I am extremely nervous and excited about applying to transfer this fall. But I realized I may have one thing holding me back: math. I have a 3.78 GPA in my community college, but I haven't taken math yet. Why? My work schedule. I work full-time monday-friday 8-5. I looked at 4 different community colleges locally to see if any of them offer a higher math late enough, but they don't. The latest I have found starts the same time I get off, and by the time I would make it down there I would have missed about the 1st hour of class. I tried talking to the proffessor about it, and he said he'd let me in the class but I would be lucky to get a B- VERY lucky. I decided not to take it to avoid messing up my GPA, but a few people told me not to even apply this fall since I haven't completed math. My job won't work with my schedule, so I am quitting before I miss the spring semester to take math. But I am told that that will be too late- colleges want to see math completed or they will not even consider your application. Any advice? It's not that I am aweful at math or anything- I just haven't had the time to take it. I mean, I took all the way up through calculus in high school, but that was 8 years ago. Help!

What math do you need?

Your comm. college and 4-year college may accept AP/CLEP test scores. You can take those on your own time.

The minimum is statistics, but I plan to take precal. And unfortunately I did not take any AP classes...
