Hi Im a junior taking precalcus Honors. I want to take a math Sat 2 this year but I dont know whether I should take Math 1 or Math 2. My friend told me that Math 1 is much easier, but the curve is very hard. He recommended Math 2c even though its harder it has a nicer curve. If you guys have any advice itd be great thanx.

Math IIC all the way. Even if you're not completely comfortable with the topics you encountered in your pre-calculus class, you should definitely take level II. You only need a very superficial understanding of the topics tested to do well. A raw score of 50/50 is the only thing that will get you an 800 on the math IC; on the math IIC a 43/50 will get the 800.

If you are in precalc honors, you should probably take IIC. But take practice tests for both the IC and IIC to be sure.

I heard that some schools (UCs and stuff) aren't going to accept SAT II Math IC anymore for class 2006 and beyond.

In any case, I would never take IC anyway because it's for those "bad kids" and anyone in precal (I'm a junior and in precal H too) should take IIC.

just had a test on intergrals today... died.
