okay i left 8 blank and i probably got about 10-12 worst case senario
and 5-8 wrong best case..
what could my scores be?

200 at best.

Sorry for the choice of words, but do the math.

Worst case: 50 questions - 8 blank - 12 wrong = 30 correct. 12 wrong * 0.25 each = 3 points guessing penalty. 30 correct - 3 points guessing penalty gives raw score of 27.

Best case: 50 questions - 8 blank - 5 wrong = 37 correct. 5 wrong * 0.25 = 1.25 (round down to 1) point guessing penalty. 37 correct - 1 point guessing penalty = raw score of 36.

Raw scores convert to scaled scores using “the curve.” Curves are different depending on the test. Using the conversion chart in the blue book for Math Level 2 as an example, your scaled score could be anywhere from a 630 to a 710.

The scale starts at 200 and you have to have attempted and missed darn near everything (i.e., a negative raw score) to get one. In fact, the way many curves work, it’s not even possible.

alright thankyou soooo much!!

wait was that the scale for Math II or Math I ??

The curve depends on the test you took–the subject and the date. What I quoted was the Math Level 2 curve from the College Board “blue book” that has one of each of the subject tests in it. The curve for Saturday’s test will probably be a little, but not radically, different.

okay good i was talking about Math II i also took math I which i skipped 2 and believe i got about 7 wrong
