Hello everyone, I am currently a junior in high school. I believe that I need at least a 30 ACT to be competitive at the schools that I would like to attend. I decided that I should take the ACT in December just to sort of get my feet wet and get a base score. I didn't really think I would study for this first test, but I decided to go out and get the Real ACT Red book.

After taking a practice test, I realized that I am waaaaaay behind in math. Even though I have recieved A's in Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Trig/Pre calc, my math score on the practice was only a 21. I also scored poorly on the PLAN math section.

My scores for the practice are:
Composite: 29
English: 32
Math: 21
Reading: 32
Science: 30

I really need to step up my math game. Will colleges pick out that subscore and think less of a 29 with those subscores rather than a 29/29/29/29?

Also what can I do to improve this math score? I have read the entire math prep section.... Maybe find some online ACT math help? Just looking for someone to point me in the right general direction....

I'm not too worried about my scores on December 8th because I know that I have a few months to prep for the next test in the spring. However, is there anything I can do to study in this next week to increase my math score a couple of points?

Any tips/advice is much appreciated!
