If x<y and r<s then,

I. x + r < y + r
II. x - r < y - r
III. xr < ys

Three circles:
R1, R2, R3

R2 = 1/2 * R1
R3 = 1/3 * R1

Pi * R1^2 + Pi * (R1/2) ^2 + Pi * (R1/3)^2 = Pi
R1^2 + (R1^2)/4 + (R1^2)/9 = 1
36R1^2 + 9R1^2 + 4R1^2 = 36
49R1^2 = 36
R1^2 = 36/49
R1 = 6/7

what about the one which gave x y and z as lengths of a triangle? then asked which statement cannot be true

i got x<y-z or something like that :/

what was the question of the 24 lb rock? i dont remotely remember that anwer

Wasn’t this 96 - 4? Also, it would be (1 + 3 + 5 + 7 … + 95), so you divide the number in the box by two and then square it.

no / it was 196 … cause all the number are the same all the way up 96… so 100 only had 97 and 99 extra… which was 196

what question was 3 rad2 to??

you have something like 12 rocks that average 15 pounds each. then you add a rock and the average is 16 pounds. how much did the rock weigh?

that was 24 lb one i think

(x+y)^2

I think you posted this answer wrong (unless im thinking of a diff question)… the question was x+y equals the square of z, so the answer is (x+y)^.5

Can anyone confirm it was [100] - [96]? I could have sworn it was [96] - [4], where did the 4 come from?

omg…for the math question…Six Shapes, One shaded Triangle:

triangle shade 1/6…

THere were 3 shaded shapes and 3 unshaded shapes…is this right??

If x<y and r<s then,

I. x + r < y + r
II. x - r < y - r
III. xr < ys

Can someone explain why II is not valid?

for some reason I dont remember that question

It was [100] - [96] No clue where you got the 4 from.

Edit nvm i got wrong

"If x<y and r<s then,

I. x + r < y + r
II. x - r < y - r
III. xr < ys

Can someone explain why II is not valid?"

x = 4 y = 5, r = 6 s = 7
4 - 6 < 5 - 7
-2<-2
That statement is false, -2 = -2, -2 is not less than -2.

does anyone know what question # that was?

was one of the sections only 16 questions?

Unholy sigma, you jsut answered your own question, II and III are false so only I is true

Haha no, he answered my question, and thanks for the explanation.

x+y = rad(Z)

is equivalent to
(x+y)^2 = z

reasoning
3 + 2 = rad25
(3+2)^2 = 25
(3+2)(3+2) = 25
9+6+6+4 = 25
9+16 = 25
25=25
