math series at ucla

I've taken math for life sciences 3A, B, and C and did well.

I want to take 32A now, but that requires 31B as a pre-req. Can I still take 32A since 3B is supposed to be on the same topics as 31B?

I know 3B is a lot easier than 31B btw.

Ummm actually they are not the same. Yes they say its equivalent but the material in the two series are not the same.
But I had a friend in the same boat as you and she was able to take 32a after she finished the 3 series so im sure ur able to do the same. just talk to a counselor.

I was on the math department site and it says that the 31AB series is not a prerequisite to 32AB series. It was specifically talking to freshman who took calculus in high school. I think you could catch up on the stuff you missed on your own time. I have heard multivariate calculus is not hard if you have a strong grasp on single variable calculus.
